Nestled just over an hour outside of Las Vegas, Nevada sits the charming town of Mesquite. Despite its desert landscape and terrain, the area has grown by leaps and bounds over the past decades, fueled mainly by exquisite new golf courses.
Some of the world's most well-known designers have converged on the area, leaving behind courses with the signatures of Dennis Rider, Arnold Palmer and Johnny Miller. Each of the courses that Oregon Golf Adventures has partnered with is guaranteed to offer golfers of all ability a challenge and experience that will be hard to forget.
The CasaBlanca Resort
The CasaBlanca Resort is sure to please any traveler to Mesquite. The rooms are the best in the area and the resort features a nationally recognized spa, top notch entertainment and a casino with games for spenders of all levels.
or those times when you want to take a break from the course, Mesquite has plenty of off-course activies near by, including Lake Mead, Lake Powell, Zion National Park and Brian Head Ski Resort.
Casablanca Golf Club
The CasaBlanca Golf Club, like the adjoining resort, is like a desert oasis. 13 of the course's 18 have water on them. That means challening shots for golfers on this Cal Olsen designed course which also features sloping mounds and fairways. The new clubhouse provides plenty of ways to relax after a round.
Oasis Golf Club
This challenging and scenic course has its designer's signature all over it, the legendary Arnold Palmer. And, just like Arnie in his prime, many of your best shots will come when you just 'go for it.' The Oasis winds up and down through the canyons and foothills surrounding Mesquite. Palmer did very little to change the lay of the land, instead using the dramatic terrain to shape the course.
Wolf Creek at Paradise Canyon
The newest jewel in the Mesquite area is Wolf Creek at Paradise Canyon. In 2001, this Dennis Rider design was named one of Golf Digest's top three new upscale public courses in the United States. The course winds through boulders and rocks, featuring huge elevation drops, lakes and creeks, and perfectly manicured greens and fairways. This one is a classic.
Entrada at Snow Canyon
Entrada's Johnny Miller Signature Golf Course is nestled amidst lava flows, deep canyons and gently sloping hills all surrounded by multi-colored sandstone cliffs. It received accolades from Golf Digest when it opened in 1997 and is worth the 40 minute drive from the center of Mesquite.
Another course set away from Mesquite, Coral Canyon is a risk/reward golf course sure to please golfers of all abilities. Players get to play through the red rock outcroppings that lead to the front door of some of the world's most famed natural wonders.
