Here in the Pacific Northwest, it's been a long, cold, rainy winter. Not a lot of golfing to be done. That's left me with more time hit balls at the range, window shop the nearby Golf Galaxy store, and browse the latest and greatest at the consumer golf shows in the region. That means testing plenty of new equipment.
Now, I'm pretty slow to add a new weapon to my bag, but swapping drivers is a bad habit of mine. In the last two months, I've probably tried eight of the newest drivers on the market and I actually found one that made me want to trade up. Clearly the best new driver of the year, Cobra has ANOTHER big hit with it's F7 and F7+ driver.
I settled on the F7, which is made to be customized with a lot of cool technology that I think I'm better off letting the experts at Cobra explain to you...
The F7 earned a gold award from Golf Digest and testers loved it. It's a traditional style head that sets up square. The balance is perfect and the ball seems to fly off the face. It's more forgiving than other drivers out there, one of my favorite features. A feature in the grip, however, sets this one apart.
Dubbed 'Cobra Connect,' all of this year's Cobra drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids have Arccos technology built in. Download the Arccos app on your smartphone and your clubs will pair with it during your round. You can track driving distance and position, helping you dial in those yardages.
The F7 and the F7+ are another in a long line of great products from a golf company that, in my book, is highly underrated. If you're looking to add a new driver to the bag, I highly recommend giving this one a try
