Championship Golf Around Puget Sound
The Puget Sound area may be one of the most championship starved regions in the United States.  With only one major to it's credit in the last 15 years, the people in this area can't wait to host both the 2010 US Amateur and the 2015 US Open.

So now is your chance to play the courses that will host these great championships, as well as the area's other top golf facilities.

Chamber's Bay

Last Updated Dec 2008

Chambers Bay, Washington State’s golf masterpiece -  is a unique tribute to the historic links of Scotland and Ireland.

With Puget Sound providing a serene backdrop to Chambers Bay, this breathtaking layout winds through a stunning coastal setting, among windswept dunes and native fescue grasses. The snow-capped Olympic Mountains rim the western shore and eagles keep silent watch overhead. In every sense, Robert Trent Jones II has created an awe-inspiring design that is as spectacular as the beauty surrounding it.

This Washington state golf course is home to the 2015 U.S. Open and 2010 U.S. Amateur Championships and is conveniently located just outside of Tacoma, in Pierce County. Less than an hour’s drive South from Seattle, this 18 hole championship golf course provides a traditional, links-style layout featuring impressive emerald greens, dazzling fairways, and brilliant tees. The overall views are just as spectacular as your soul escapes into the history of the game. This walking only, public resort links-style golf course provides that incomparable venue for large-scale tournament events as well as intimate private group outings.

This is golf in its purest form and nature at its best. So if you are looking for golf in Washington, we invite you to share the experience of Chambers Bay, Pure Links Golf.

Chambers Bay was certified on August 14, 2007 by Audubon International as a Silver Signature Sanctuary, the first golf course in the state of Washington and in the Pacific Northwest.  Signature certification is awarded only to new developments which are designed, constructed, and maintained according to Audubon International’s precise planning standards and environmental disciplines. Chambers Bay and its dedicated staff continue to manage and protect water quality and wildlife habitat on the property as part of an ongoing commitment to the environment.
