No course in the Northwest has garnered more attention over the last 18 months than Chambers Bay. First, it was a highly anticipated opening. Then there was the announcement that the new facility would host the 2010 US Amateur and the 2015 US Open. All of that has been followed up with awards and love from just about every media outlet in the country. Let's face it, Chambers Bay is HOT right now and we've got a great way for you to get out there.
Chambers Bay: Chambers Bay, Washington State's golf masterpiece, is a unique tribute to the historic links of Scotland and Ireland. With Puget Sound providing a serene backdrop to Chambers Bay, this breathtaking layout winds through a stunning coastal setting, among windswept dunes and native fescue grasses. The snow-capped Olympic Mountains rim the western shore and eagles keep silent watch overhead. In every sense, Robert Trent Jones II has created an awe-inspiring design that is as spectacular as the beauty surrounding it.
The Home Course: The Home Course is a walkable layout with panoramic views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Rainier, present throughout the golf course. It was designed by golf course architect Mike Asmundson of Scottsdale, Arizona. Asmundson, a graduate of the University of Washington, has constructed numerous courses in the desert southwest and in South America.
Lodging: We recommend staying at the LaQuinta Inn. This great property includes a free shuttle to any location within five miles of the hotel, free Internet access, a 24-hour business center, free newspaper delivery, an indoor pool and fitness center and a great restaurant and lounge.
